I had a pleasure being part of Comtrade Software team at Nutanix .Next conference in Vienna
That combined under one roof Nutanix customers and resellers from Europe and all over the world – no wonder that the conference was sold out.
There was so much going on for Nutanix - lots of new feature announcements with AOS release 5.0, like Self Service portal within Nutanix Prism, tighter network integration within Prism and a new version of AOS REST API.
The same goes for Comtrade Software - this time of the year is all about the announcements:
We have presented a set of new features in Comtrade’s Management Pack for Nutanix (Nutanix MP) for the upcoming release end of November. And the feedback we got from IT admins using Nutanix and SCOM was excellent. For the attendees one of the most exciting upcoming features was the Nutanix Inventory and Sizing report and of course the list of processes consuming most of the CPU or Memory on the VM at the time when high CPU or Memory utilization alert has been risen for specific VM. And this is by far not all - new feature is also the VM context information in the VM related alerts about which applications are running on this VM. This helped answering a frequent question and explaining some of the benefits for using our SCOM Management Pack instead using just Prism.
There was a lot of hype created with our brand new dashboards – available within Super Pack - which were announced at the show and will be added as a bonus to the new version of SCOM Management Pack for Nutanix. Comtrade’s SCOM SuperPack for Nutanix-Citrix (Nutanix-Citrix SuperPacks) is connecting information from Citrix MP with information from Nutanix MP and combines related information from multiple MPs to help IT admins to troubleshoot and pinpoint bottlenecks that affect Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop application QoS.
On top of this, we also announced Beta release of our new monitoring solution for Nutanix that integrates into Microsoft Operations Management Suite (OMS). It provides monitoring and event and log analytics for Nutanix within OMS, which is a cloud based SaaS monitoring platform from Microsoft. This extends our Nutanix monitoring portfolio and address the customers who want to have subscription based monitoring solution or do not have SCOM.
To conclude, .Next conference was an excellent and very successful event and we are pleased to see that our products were so well accepted by IT admins and companies that stopped at our booth. And of course, we are super excited to improve Nutanix MP experience with the upcoming release end of November.
Thank you Nutanix to be a part of your successful story!
