Today, the world celebrates International Women’s Day, an annual recognition of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women globally. This day is marked in various ways worldwide, with some countries even declaring it a public holiday, while others observe it through local social initiatives. Each year, the United Nations designates a theme and campaign for International Women’s Day, focusing collective attention on pressing issues. This year, the theme revolves around imagining a gender equal world—a world that is free from bias, stereotypes, and discrimination, and one that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. Together, we strive to #BreakTheBias.

At HYCU, we are privileged to have many individuals actively working to cultivate an environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equity and inclusivity every day. Across all departments and disciplines, our team members are dedicated to making a difference in achieving gender equality. We are particularly proud of the women leaders within our Executive Leadership Team and throughout our organization, from entry-level positions in engineering to strategic roles shaping our company's future.

This year, we're taking a proactive approach to celebrate International Women’s Day. Across our social channels, you will hear the voices of HYCU women sharing their stories and insights, encouraging a commitment to calling out bias, challenging stereotypes, breaking down inequality, and rejecting discrimination. We asked these remarkable individuals a series of questions to capture their experiences and wisdom:

We are also taking a different approach to celebrate this year.

Starting today, across our social channels, you will see and hear HYCU women’s voices encouraging the commitment to call out bias, smash stereotypes, break inequality and reject discrimination to help form a gender equal world.

To do that, we asked each a number of questions:

·      How has HYCU helped in the growth of your career?

·      What advice would you give to the next generation of female leaders?

·      How should women support other women in their organizations?

·      Do you have a woman leader as a mentor or someone who inspired you and why?

You'll see these inspiring voices featured here and on our social media platforms as part of this year’s celebrations. The overwhelming response from our team underscores their dedication to driving positive change and advancing gender equality.

The response to participate this year, as we would have anticipated, was overwhelming. As we recognize our women leaders, we also use today and the rest of the month to recognize the work that is being done globally to #BreaktheBias. We are so proud of everything our women leaders do, along with the support and collaboration from everyone at HYCU, to promote gender equality and make HYCU the exceptional company it is today. As we strongly feel, it’s time to turn one important day and theme to celebrate beyond one, single day. Help us celebrate for the rest of this month by following us at @hycuinc and connecting with us at LinkedIn.
